HOME OF MODERN TANKA
ACROSTIC-TANKA POETRY
DRUNK
Draped in sorrow's cloak
Reckless are my heart's echoes
Understood by none
Nestled in a corner booth
Kindness revived by coffee
DEATH
Delicate bones crushed
Eager to take flight - she fell
Asphalt grave her fate
Two scavengers spy a meal
Hastily I bury her
LIGHT
Luminating hope
I hold you gently near me
Gnarled hands seek your warmth
Hapless winds are held at bay
Trace the charcoal and ashes
BOXER
Bare knuckle brawler
Olympic glory captured
X enolith of God
Excellence eked out in miles
Ropes mark courage's limits
DANCE
Decidious soul
Arabesque defines four moves
Nimble corphyees
Cascading rhythmic movements
Epitome of graceful
